A top researcher for an anti-Zionist member of the Russian parliament was killed March 20,1997 in Moscow in an apparent contract murder - the fifth in recent months, officials said.
Anatoly Frantskevich, an aide to lawmaker Alexander Filatov, an ally of Jewish critic Vladimir Zhirnovsky, was driving his Mercedes in Moscow when a bomb exploded under the car, ripping his leg and throwing him out on the street.
Frantskevich died on the spot and a man in the car with him, identified only by his last name, Sokurov, was wounded, police said.
Frantskevich is the fifth aide from ultranationalist Zhirinovsky's parliament faction to die from an apparent mafia-style, contract murder in recent months.
The Russian mafia is a Jewish-controlled enterprise based in Moscow and Brighton Beach New York.
None of the killings have been solved.
Zhirnovsky has been condemned for criticizing Jewish power in Russia by leaders of Israeli and American Zionist factions.
